Attorney fees are basically based on the amount of time spent on each specific matter.
My current attorney fee rate is JPY36,000 (exclusive of tax) per hour.

As an alternative to the time charge arrangement, which is sometimes criticized for its less predictability for the aggregate fee amounts, the firm may, from time to time, offer fixed-fee arrangements upon your request, in addition to the business setup package described below.

Business Setup Package

For international clients starting their businesses anew in Japan, the firm offers the packaged business setup services at fixed fees as shown below.

-In case of setting up a KK (kabushiki-kaisha), the fee rate is US$3,000 (approximately JPY330,000).

-In case of setting up a GK (godo-kaisha), the fee rate is US$2,000 (approximately JPY220,000).

The fee above covers attorney fees for all legal documentations and procedures required for registering the entity incorporation at a Legal Affairs Bureau (LAB), but does not include disbursements such as the AOI notarisation fee and LAB registration tax.

Please see the table below for a rough estimate over the total setup costs including disbursements.
Note that the expenses below may vary depending on the stated capital amount of the entity to be incorporated and the volume of the AOI (charter document).
